Extend Length of Background

Post by Guest » Sun Nov 20, 2011 12:29 am

My background is at 6 secs and won't budge

I added a custom behavior with rate and tried adjusting the length through the inspector.

It shows the increase to 10  seconds but nothing adjusts in the timeline.

What happened to grab and drag?

What exactly is your background?  What type of file?

It's a motion background from Motion 5

Which one exactly?  They're all different types of files in there.  Some can extend as you're trying, some can't.

If you can't drag it out, then you've reached the physical end of the media.  You must then go to that layer's properties, Timing section, set the End Condition to Loop, then set the End Duration.

I'm using Wispy Spiro 1& 2.  Did not see loop but will take another look.

That is a Replicator, you can grab it's end in the Timeline window and drag it out as far as you like.

I'm able to extend the background but no matter what I do I'm unable to adjust an out point  at the 10 sec point in the timeline that prevents the background to go to the extended point. I extended the background, change the duration fom 10sec to 20 and nothing seems to work.

Are you sure your project duration is set long enough to extend that clip? I'd check again in project properties.

Yes. I've changed the duration from 10 sec to 30 and the clip never goes past 10. Again,I can extend the clip past the 10 sec mark, but the out point will not move with it.
