I am new to Mac.  I want to build a webpage for my wife.  She loves the star background that you see frequently on the web.  How can I incorporate one to use as a backdrop for her page?

You can use any image as a background for either the page and/or browser background using the Inspector/Page/Layout pane. Click to view full size Do a Google Image search for the type of image you want to use.  OT
